Following retirement from the Aerospace industry my wife and I moved to Eastcombe in 2012. Having spent the best part of the previous 33 years living in a modern semi-detached house in Yate, moving to an old property in a village which we did not know anything about could have been a significant challenge. However, we were immediately struck by how warm and friendly everyone was, and it was not long before I was persuaded to join the Parish Council. Getting involved with the NDP project is exciting and completely different from anything I have done in the past. Its also an opportunity to give something back to the community.
